GM Holden is the Australian subsidiary of General Motors (GM), which was retired in 2020 after more than 100 years of operation as an automotive company.

The Lion Brand was once a leading local manufacturer, producing a number of models in Australia including the iconic Commodore, Statesman and Caprice.

Other popular nameplates based on global GM models including the Astra, Barina, Captiva, Colorado, and Trailblazer. For a short period, Holden also offered the Equinox and Acadia, both rebadged versions of Chevrolet and GMC equivalents from the US.
